Taj Falaknuma Palace, Hyderabad, India The carefully restored Falaknuma Palace will open this month as the newest property of Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces. Formerly the royal guest house of Nizam Mehboob Ali Khan, and featuring a blend of Italian and Tudor architecture, the 60-room private palace has a presidential suite with views of the manicured gardens and is decorated with artefacts from all over the world. A selection of Hyderabad specialties and Italian cuisine is available at the palace's restaurants, and guests can enjoy high tea on the verandah in the afternoons and cocktails at the palace bar at dusk. |

&Beyond Moremi Under Canvas, Botswana Opening this September, &Beyond's latest luxury experience, Moremi Under Canvas, will be a mobile luxury camp in Botswana's Moremi Game Reserve. Located at a number of semi-permanent campsites in the reserve's floodplains, grasslands and forests, the camp will offer a safari experience for a maximum of 10 guests. Facilities include spacious mobile tents with ensuite bathrooms and flushable toilets, an al fresco shower, comfortable guest areas and attentive staff. |

Sheraton Grand Edinburgh to undergo refurbishments The Sheraton Grand Hotel and Spa, Edinburgh, is in the process of refurbishing all of its bedrooms and suites, increasing the number of guest rooms to 268. In addition to the extra rooms, the hotel will be creating a private club lounge at the top of the hotel, providing guests with an enhanced level of service, evening drinks and canapes as well as exclusive use of Escape at One, a special facility from One Spa. All rooms will be completed by July 2010. |

The luxury, design-driven brand will open the Thompson Toronto in Canada's largest city, and feature 102 guestrooms spread over 16 floors, and a restaurant operated by New York based restaurant, Scarpetta. | |
